MENTORSHIP: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IS MENTORSHIP FOR EVERYONE?

Definitely not. Students who can benefit from this Program are those who recognize the importance of having insight into the client before engaging in an hypnotic intervention. The focus of the training is to provide the client with the best possible care by adjusting the technique to his need and not his need to the technique.

WHY WOULD I COME TO YOU FOR ADVANCED TRAINING?

In addition to my academic training, which includes a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, a Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Doctoral studies in Home and Family Life and Group and Individual Therapy (Columbia University), I have two years of hospital experience as a psychologist and 30 years as a diagnostician as a school psychologist. I have been in private practice for over 30 years. I have supervised Doctoral Candidates at St. John's, Adelphi, Hofstra and Columbia Universities (New York) and well as at the City University of New York.

HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE GROUP?

Because of the intense nature of the work, there will never be more than 3 students at a time. Frequently there will be only 1, since very few clients would be comfortable being observed by 2 people or more.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD RELATED TO YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS?

Seminars are offered to students who are currently in the Mentorship Program or to other practitioners. Those seminars center around intensive case studies and the specific professional needs of the practitioners.
